Design
Statement
I am an architecture student whose work explores the relationship between place, space, and experience. Through academic studio projects, I investigate how architecture responds to context and material conditions while shaping the way people move through and inhabit space. My design process emphasizes iteration, observation, and thoughtful spatial organization.
About Me
I’m Lily O’Dea, a third-year architecture student born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. My work centers on questions of place, material, and experience, with a particular interest in how built environments influence movement, perception, and connection.
Outside of studio, I spend much of my time designing, building, and selling handmade jewelry, painting commissioned portraits of people’s pets, and working with plants—particularly propagation and care. These creative practices inform how I think about observation, craft, and the relationship between making and living environments.
